Mom Invented by Anita Jamshidi

The Utterly Yours™ Pregnancy Pillow came about after our mom inventor – Anita Jamshidi – was given instructions by her OBGYN to spend her third trimester of pregnancy lying down as much as possible; specifically on her left side to increase blood flow to the baby.

Not only was this difficult with three other children to look after, but it was physically uncomfortable. All the pregnancy pillows she tried were not only too soft causing her to roll onto her back, but also incredibly cumbersome; taking up half the bed. It wasn't until Anita decided to sleep on the couch one night that she realized it gave her more support than anything else she tried. The back of the couch successfully kept Anita on her left side. Unfortunately, it didn't offer a great deal of comfort.

That’s when it dawned on Anita that if the memory foam she used to create the Utterly Yours™ Breast Pillow could conform to and support a woman's breast, a variation on the foam could do the same for belly and back support. The combination of two varied foam pieces – one to keep a woman on her side and one a bit softer to cradle the belly - along with the goal of keeping the product compact, made it possible to create a pregnancy pillow unlike any other.
